I am turquoise

You are the color turquoise. A fairly tempermental
person, you're either upset or tranquil most of
the time. You can be as calm as your color.
You're a mysterious person, yet somehow
outgoing. You're balanced, simply put. You're
somewhat bold. You're generous and
sophisticated--but never ever snobby. You're
lively and rich in personality and attitude.
You're a beautiful person, aside from the fact
that you're a perfectionist and painfully
honest. But life is good to you!

What color are you? (Amazingly detailed & accurate--with pics!)
brought to you by Quizilla

I am sometimes snobby, but other than that - pretty accurate.

Clothing thoughts

I am so glad the seasons are changing. I am so sick of my summer clothes. I can't wait until this weekend to clean out the closets and take out the winter sweaters and shirts and put away all the summer stuff. I love fall and winter. The more clothes the better.

So I realized today I am wearing a t-shirt that is 13 or 14 years old. It's a Hard Rock Cafe - New York shirt. I bought it when I was living in New York after college. It gets worn occasionally. I never really thought about it before today. There is nothing wrong with it, not so white anymore. I usually just wear it under stuff that covers it up. If I think about it, I probably could find even older clothes in my closet. In fact I have the dress I wore to my High School Graduation in my closet. I'm not sure what that says about me.

I know I am a clothes hound. I don't go for the trends I tend to be "basic", not really classic, more like not-trendy. But the clothes I have, I love. I would, if I could, just replace items with the exact same thing, only new. I still long for a sweater I wore in college and had to get rid of when it wore out. I still think back fondly of clothes that I don't have anymore, for whatever reason.

I also have a thing about "choices". I have to have many different options to choose from. It is a nightmare for me to pack for a trip. I was lucky growing up in the fact that I didn't really want for much. I don't think I was spoiled, per se, but I didn't lack for much. So my closet is packed with many different items. Besides the "choice" quirkyness I also don't like to repeat. My friends think I'm weird because I have a list of all my sweaters on my closet door. I just check off when I wear a sweater. This way I don't wear the same sweater too many times and then I know when the sweater should be washed. It seems totally logical to me, but I could see how it could be perceived as slightly obsessive. I also rotate the clothes after they are washed. This also cuts down on unnecessary repeats.

You know you have too many clothes when you can go 5 to 6 weeks without doing laundry.

My thanks go to Wendy Walburn for teaching me my horrible laundry habits.
